EASTERN RAILWAY WOMEN’S WELFARE ORGANISATION- ASANSOL DISTRIBUTED FOOD ITEMS AMONG THE FAMILIES OF RAMPUR VILLAGE OF ASANSOL

TNS,Asansol: Eastern Railway Women’s Welfare Organisation, Asansol, handed over some food items among at least 90 unemployed families of Rampur village in the remote area of North Asansol today (24.06.2021). Smt. Smita Sarkar, President/ERWWO’s earnest initiative, the members of ERWWO/Asansol distributed food items including 2 kg of rice, 300 gms of lentils, 1.2 kg of potato, soyabean and puffed rice packets, cooking spices and soap. Almost everyone in the region is extremely poor. Moreover as a result of the lockdown due to COVID-19 pandemic, their condition has worsened.

        Apart from Secretary Nisha Sinha, Treasurer Shilpa Verma and other members Bharati Jha and Pampa Mandal were also present on the occasion. It is to be noted that a total of Rs. 14,000/- was spent on food items.

Members of ERWWO/Asansol are very much satisfied in performing such benevolent activity.
