PIB Kolkata Observes 75th Independence with Dignity & Honour

 


Kolkata, August 15, 2021 -The Press Information Bureau, Kolkata today observed the 75th Independence Day with dignity and honour. The Additional Director General (M&C), Press Information Bureau (PIB), Government of India, Kolkata Miss Jane Namchu ceremoniously unfurled the tricolour in the morning in presence of the officials of PIB, Kolkata. She spoke about the relentless efforts and sacrifices of the innumerable revolutionaries of the country and those who turned martyrs in their revolt against British tyranny. She also urged upon to strengthen the efforts and visions of the Prime Minister for building an Atmanirbhar Bharat by the year 2022 and in turn enthuse The ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’- a country-wide campaign focusing on citizen
participation, to be converted into a 'Janandolan', where small changes, at the local level, will add up to significant national gains. A small effort in this regard, she said, will add up the glory of India and it requires to be started now.
It is to be noted that ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ is an initiative of the Union Government to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of progressive India and the glorious history of its people, culture and achievements.
