TNS_Asansol :World Malaria Day has been organized by the Health & family welfare wing of the Medical department, Eastern Railway Asansol today (25.04.2023) with the theme “Ready to Beat Malaria”. An awareness programme and rally has been organized under the guidance of Dr. Champak Biswas, Chief Medical Superintendent /Asansol, from Divisional Railway Hospital to Railway Hospital Colony, Asansol.
In the Rally, Malaria preventive awareness banners were displayed & leaflets were distributed to the colony inhabitants, anti- larva spraying was done in the colony & Hospital area. Biological measures to control mosquito breeding were undertaken by using Gambusia fish in the drains.
The rally was actively participated by Dr. Champak Biswas, CMS/ASN, Dr. B. K Chaubey, ACMS/Admin, Dr. B.Ghatak, Sr. Consultant/ASN, Dr. Beas Mukherjee, DMO/ASN, Mr. Kanchan Sarkar, AHO/ASN, Mr. A K Paria, FSO/ASN , CHI’s Mr. C.P.Sinha, Mr. A Mondal, Mr. S Chakraborty, Mr. K R Chowdhury, Mr. Ajit Kumar , Mr Ajay Shankar Dubey, Extension Educator & Mr.Subham Chattoraj, Field Worker/ASN.
The programme was successfully organized by Mr. Kanchan Sarkar, Assistant Health Officer/Asansol and Health & family Welfare team with an effort to spread awareness to combat malaria and the need for sustained efforts towards achieving the goal of zero malaria.
