DRM ASANSOL DIVISION EASTERN RAILWAY CONDUCTS THOROUGH REVIEW AT ANDAL STATION AND ASSOCIATED FACILITIES

 

TNS_Asansol: Shri Chetna Nand Singh, The Divisional Railway Manager of Asansol Division, Eastern Railway, undertook a comprehensive inspection at Andal and its affiliated facilities including the Diesel Shed, Traffic Colony, DSEY, BOXN Depot and Hump Yard today on 22.03.2024. The inspection aimed to ensure operational efficiency, safety standards, and passenger satisfaction across these vital railway assets.

 

During the inspection, the Divisional Railway Manager, along with a team of dedicated officials, meticulously evaluated various aspects of operations, maintenance, and infrastructure.

 

Feedback from staff was solicited to identify areas for improvement and address concerns promptly.

 

The examination of the Diesel Shed involved assessing the maintenance practices, equipment condition, and compliance with environmental and safety regulations. Efforts were made to streamline processes and enhance the efficiency of locomotive maintenance operations.

 

The inspection team reviewed living conditions and welfare amenities provided to railway employees residing in Traffic Railway Colony. Measures to improve living standards and address any infrastructural deficiencies were discussed and prioritized.

 

The Hump Yard inspection focused on optimizing freight operations, ensuring the seamless movement of goods trains, and maintaining track infrastructure integrity. Strategies for enhancing operational efficiency and minimizing downtime were explored.

Upon completion of the inspection, the Divisional Railway Manager expressed satisfaction with the overall performance of the facilities while acknowledging areas requiring attention and improvement. Immediate action plans were devised to address identified issues, with a commitment to enhancing the quality of service delivery and ensuring the safety and comfort of passengers and railway personnel.

 

Later Shri Singh, DRM / Asansol also attended the Blood Donation Camp held at Chittaranjan Institute, Andal organized by ERMU ( Eastern Railway Men’s Union ).
