TNS,Asansol: In a prompt and caring action under “Operation Nanhe Farishte”, Railway Protection Force personnel of Dumka Post rescued a minor boy at Dumka railway station on 10 December 2025. During routine rounds at Platform No. 1 around 17:00 hrs, a 14-year-old boy Namim Ansari was noticed seated alone and distressed. On enquiry, the boy shared that he had mistakenly boarded a train and arrived at Dumka without informing anyone. His father’s details were recorded as Ramjani Ansari, resident of , Godda district, Jharkhand.
The incident was immediately reported to the Station Superintendent/Dumka and the Child Help Desk staff. The minor was safely brought to RPF Post Dumka, provided with care and protection and after completing all legal formalities handed over to the Child Welfare Committee, Dumka.
This swift and sensitive action by RPF demonstrates the vigilant and passenger-centric approach of Asansol Division, ensuring the safety of child passengers and maintaining a secure and caring environment across its railway network.
