Asansol, August 29, 2022: First Meeting of Divisional Railway Users’ Consultative Committee (DRUCC), constituted for the period of 01.01.2022 to 31.12.2023, of Eastern Railway’s Asansol Division was held at DRM’s office, Asansol today, August 29, 2022(Monday). Shri Shantanu Chakraborty, Sr. Divisional Commercial Manager and Secretary, DRUCC, Asansol welcomed the members. In his welcome address he informed the achievements of the Division including various passenger amenity items,introduction of new trains beautification & renovation of stations etc. provided in Asansol Division during the recent past.
Addressing the meeting, Shri Permanand Sharma, Divisional Railway Manager and Chairman, DRUCC, Asansol said that the railways and DRUCC works for common purpose for improvement of passenger amenities and railway services. He welcomed the members and expressed his gratitude to them for coming forward with suggestions for the interest of the passengers and railway users from all segments for betterment of the railway. He described DRUCC as an interface of railway to the passengers.
Ten (10) members of this committee, including, Shri Harish Prasad Sah, Shri Kshitij Kumar, Shri Anup Kumar Sinha, Shri Digvijay Baghmar, Dr. Jasbir Singh, Shri Dinesh Kumar, Shri Avishek Dokania, Shri Mirja Saukat Ali, Shri Prashant Solanki and Shri Shashi Kant Pandey were present in the meeting.
Shri Dinesh Kumar was elected for ZRUCC (Zonal Railway Users’ Consultative Committee). All the members expressed their happiness and satisfaction over the activities of Asansol Division. Members also gave some suggestions which were welcomed and noted.
