Asansol September 16, 2022: Swachhta Pakhwara, a fortnight long programme on inculcating awareness on cleanliness has been observed from today (16th September, 2022) which will continue upto 30th September, 2022. Special emphasis will be imposed on cleanliness of stations, trains, tracks, circulating area, yards, depots, toilets, drains water vending points, pantry cars/ canteens.
Today (16.09.2022) the first day of fortnight long Swachhta Pakhwara, Shri Permanand Sharma, DRM/Asansol administered the Swachhta Pledge at Asansol Railway Station Premises to all Railway Officers and Employee, to take part in cleanliness drive. After taking Swachhta pledge, a Swachhta Awareness Walk to create cleanliness awareness from Asansol Railway Station to DRM Office was organished by the volunteers of Bharat Scouts & Guides,officers,railwaymen & house keeping staff. Shri Permanand Sharma, DRM, Asansol joined by both ADRMs and Branch Officers, other officers and Staff took part in this Swachhta Awareness Walk
Swachhta Pledge was also administered by the Station Managers, Shed & Depot In-charges of different stations, sheds and depots over Asansol Division.
Swachhta Pledge was taken at various locations such as Madhupur, Durgapur, Jasidih,Simultala, Sitarampur , Barakar, Kumardubi, Kulti, Jamtara, Chittaranjan, Ukhra, Vidyasagar, Raniganj, Andal, Panagarh,Chandan, Andal Sub-Divisional Hospital, Divisional Railway Hospital/Asansol,Barakar Health Unit,Panagarh Health Unit, Sitarampur Health Unit, Traffic Health Unit/Asansol, Basukinath, Eastern Railway High School,Asansol(Primary) and Asansol Station.
Nukkad Nataks on Cleanliness was organished at Asansol, Durgapur,Madhupur and Andal stations by the volunteers of Bharat Scouts & Guides.
